This is an impressive 3 season hiking tent that won’t break the bank.

Zempire Atmos Hiking Tent Review

Setup:

A basic two pole design and continuous pole sleeves contribute to a fairly easy set-up for the Atmos. After a few practice runs you should be able to get it up in around 5-10min.

Weatherproofing:

The Zempire Atmos Hiking Tent fly is made from 75D 210T Ripstop Polyester and boasts an impressive 5000mm waterproof rating, while the floor is 150D Poly Oxford and 10000mm.

With a sleek tunnel design and sturdy 8.5mm 7100 Alloy poles, the Atmos will be fine in moderate to strong winds. It is however very much a 3 season tent we would not recommend use in conditions where heavy snow is possible.

Ventilation is more than adequate, utilising a double vent system and breathable polyester inner mesh.

Size:

The Zempire Atmos Hiking Tent provides close to the industry standard in terms of interior space, measuring up at 2.1m (L) x 1.2 (W) (cosy for 2, comfortable for 1), while packed dimensions are packed 0.58m (L) x 0.16m (W) x 0.15m (H).

A generous vestibule provides ample space for gear storage.

Features:

Zempire are renowned for well thought designs and the Atmos is no exception.

Stand out features include a peaked front area providing additional head room, no-noise zips to avoid jingling during the night, continuous pole sleeves, and the option of a fly only pitch providing a super-light option of around 1kg.

Conclusion:

New Zealand brand Zempire continues to impress across the board. The Atmos is placed in the middle of their Adventure Tent range and presents a great option for newbies and novices alike. It is the lightest tent they make but there is no compromise on space.

We highly recommend the Zempire Atmos as a 3 season hiking tent.
