Overall Score:

Verdict:

The Fast Frame Tourer offers a very similar design and looks to our number one pick, the Blackwolf Turbo Lite Cabin, at around half the price.

The set-up is super quick thanks to the hubbed pole design, and the internal space is roomy and feature packed. While the quality of the frame and materials might not be up to the standard of the Blackwolf Turbo Lite Cabin 450, this is still an awesome option for low to medium use.

Capacity: 10 person (recommended 5-6)

Weight: 26.6 kg

Pros: Easy set up, spacious, affordable

Cons: Not as high quality materials as more premium alternatives

Oztrail Fast Frame Tourer 450 Cabin Tent Review

Setup:

This tent has an instant up design meaning set-up and take down are a breeze even for novices. As always, practice at home first to ensure you don’t face any hiccups when out on the road. The steps for setting up the Tourer 450 are as follows:

- Peg the corners
- Extend the corner poles
- Hubbed pole design means become rise up into its final structure by itself
- Pull the fly over the inner tent and set up the awning

Weatherproofing:

The outer layer on the Tourer range is made from Oztrail’s UVTex® 2000 Sun Tough Fly fabric which provides ample waterproofing along with valuable UV protection. Heat taped seam seals provide an extra layer of protection.

The floor is the usual heavy duty bucket style designed to keep moisture out even in damp conditions.

This tent should be perfectly acceptable In most weather conditions. However, it’s not a premium tent and therefore the materials are not in the same class as those our top choices. For occasional use, the Tourer will serve you perfectly fine for many years, however, if you can afford to make the upgrade we recommend the Blackwolf Turbo Lite Cabin for that extra piece of confidence in bad weather.

Size:

A very spacious family tent, the Tourer 450 has dimensions of 4.5m (L) x 3.0m (W) x 1.95m (H), being very similar to the Blackwolf Turbo mentioned above.

Near vertical walls make the interior feel very roomy, while the oversized front door allows easy access. A large front awning provides a great outdoor living space.

Features:

The Oztrail Fast Frame Tourer is packed with features to enhance your camping experience, including ample ventilation, internal organiser pockets, lantern loop, and power cord access.

Optional extras include awning walls and floor guards.

Conclusion:

A great touring style tent with instant up design that provides the benefits of a premium tent without the price tag. A very appealing option for low to medium use.

Oztrail also offers a 2 Year Manufacturer's Warranty, an extra level of comfort in your purchase.
